Dashboard Sync & Eligible Videos
Your ASMRstream dashboard automatically syncs with your connected YouTube channel. It displays all your videos that are eligible for audio release.
Eligibility Criteria:
- The video title must contain 'ASMR' (case-insensitive).
- The video must not be a YouTube Short.
- The video must not be a past livestream recording.
- The video must not be member-only content.
From the dashboard, you can easily manage your releases. You have the flexibility to release your entire eligible back catalog at once or select individual videos for release.
Scheduling Your Releases
You have full control over when your audio tracks go live. When submitting a release, you can choose the specific date, time, and timezone.
Important: Releases must be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance. This allows time for processing and review by the streaming platforms.
How We Process Your Releases
We handle the technical details to ensure your audio sounds great and meets platform requirements:
- Audio Quality: We download the audio from your YouTube video in the highest available quality format.
- Release Title: We use your YouTube video title as the release title on streaming platforms.
- Artwork: We download and use your video thumbnail. Our team will crop the middle, upscale it, and use it as the cover artwork for your release.
Content Restrictions:
To ensure your releases are accepted by streaming platforms, please adhere to the following:
- Titles and artwork must not contain URLs or social media handles (e.g., website links, @usernames).
- Artwork must not contain explicit imagery.
- We remove emojis from titles before submission, as many platforms do not support them.
- Duplicate Titles: Avoid using the exact same title for multiple YouTube videos if possible. Some platforms, like Apple Music, may reject releases with duplicate titles. If you have a large back catalog with identical titles, please contact us, and we'll work with you to find a solution.
Release Types: Single, EP, or Album
We will categorize your release based on the length of your YouTube video's audio:
- Single: Typically shorter tracks.
- EP (Extended Play): Mid-length releases.
- Album: Longer releases.
Track Splitting:
To maximize your potential streaming revenue, we split longer audio into multiple tracks. You get paid per stream, regardless of whether the track is 2 minutes or 30 minutes long, so more tracks can lead to more revenue opportunities.
- Using YouTube Chapters: If your video has chapters defined on YouTube, we'll use these to split the audio into tracks. We may combine short adjacent chapters to ensure each track meets a minimum length of approximately 2 minutes.
- Automatic Splitting: If your video doesn't have chapters, don't worry! We'll split the audio into logical tracks for you, each roughly 3-6 minutes long.
Release Timeline
Here's what happens after you submit a release:
- ASMRstream Processing: Our team works fast. We quickly prep your release and send it to all streaming platforms on the very same day.
- Platform Review: Each streaming service (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.) then reviews the release on their end. This review process is why we require the minimum 48-hour scheduling window.
- Go Live: Once approved by the platform, your release will go live on the scheduled date and time. We will email you on release day letting you know!
Note for New Artists: If you didn't have existing Spotify or Apple Music artist profiles before joining ASMRstream, your very first release might take slightly longer than 48 hours (up to a week in rare cases). This is because we need to coordinate with these platforms to create your new artist profiles. Subsequent releases after your profiles are established will adhere to the standard, faster timeline.
Editing Your Releases
If you need to make changes to the details of an existing live or delivered release, you'll need to contact our support team.
- How to Request: Send an email or use the contact form, clearly stating you wish to edit a release.
- Information Needed: Please provide the exact title of the release and specify the changes you want to make.
- Our Process: We will review your request. If the changes are permissible according to platform guidelines, we will submit the update request to all streaming platforms.
- Platform Processing Time: Once we submit the changes, it typically takes platforms around 3-5 business days to process and reflect the edits. This timeline can vary by platform.
Requesting a Takedown
If you need to remove a specific release from streaming platforms, please contact our support team.
- How to Request: Send an email or use the contact form, clearly stating you wish to request a takedown.
- Information Needed: Please provide the exact title of the release you want removed.
- Our Processing Time: We will process your request and issue the takedown command to all platforms within 3-5 business days.
- Platform Processing Time: Please note that while we issue the takedown promptly, the actual time it takes for each platform (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.) to remove the content can vary and may take longer. This is outside of ASMRstream's direct control.
